Meditation For Trading
Train your brain to moderate your emotional responses that cause critical decision-making errors when trading. You can probably point out all the times when your approach to trading was emotional rather than rational. If you’ve read any books about the great traders, there’s one element that remains consistent- remaining calm. But knowing is one thing, doing is another.
Many people have bad trading habits fueled by ignorance, but also by the clouding effects of emotion and the wrong way of looking at things. When emotions engulf us we experience what is known as an ’emotional hijacking’. This means that the more fear or greed or depression you experience around your trading, the harder it is to think clearly. The part of your brain which thinks logically (your neo-cortex) is swamped by emotion and loses the ability to operate properly. You actually become more stupid. You need to be cool and able to detach when necessary to be a top trader.
The other most common pattern is selling too early out of fear of losing gains already made.
This is the opposite to ‘professional trading’ Wherever you feel your trading weaknesses lie, the GMS session will train your brain to approach trading calmly and strategically.
What is GMS™
The way we think and what we constantly think about determines what we achieve and fail to achieve throughout our daily lives. Most of us believe we are consciously in charge of our thoughts, but this is far from the truth. According to cognitive neuroscience, our decisions, actions, emotions and behavior depend on the 95% of brain activity that is unconscious, which is influenced by our past conditioning, experiences as well as of the collective cultural mind-set we inherited.
GMS is quite simple, through meditation one enters into a deeper state of suggestibility. Once in this state, Guided Meditation and Suggestion is used to influence emotional, behavioral, and cognitive change to align with your personal goals.
The GMS technique is derived and influenced from using a combination of theories.
What To Expect
In a Session
- You will be anonymously assigned an instructor.
- You will discuss your expectations, goals, and intentions.
- You will be guided into a meditative state of relaxation for higher suggestibility.
- You will be given tasks to complete at home, between sessions.
- You will be taught self techniques to help continue you on your journey outside of sessions and long after sessions are over.
